Starting Outwe all started somewhere!Let's go ahead and get this out of the way; there are people who like training and there are people who don't enjoy training. I am one of the people who don't enjoy it. I know how to make it less hard and irritating, but I still don't enjoy it. I prefer farming.
So at this point you're probably asking why I made a training guide if I hate training so much. Well, for one, I was bored and had nothing to do at the time. Two, people often ask 'where do i train????' , so maybe this guide will help a few who are lost. And third, I enjoy helping people. Anyways, enough about that.
Here's some steps on improving your training days. How to Grindgrinding while having fun!. Don't overdo it. Getting burnt out is a real thing, especially in MapleStory. Compared to other online games nowadays, MapleStory's endgame requires you to focus on only a few mobs and a few bosses.
Some people are blessed and can go grinding for hours (robb/xenon/mike/etc). But for the most part, no one really enjoys grinding. Espeically when it's old-school MMO grinding. For me, I keep it to a minimal of 2 or 5 levels a day.

Raw download clone embed report print text 0.95 KB VenomFilms' Leveling Guide for MapleRoyals NOTE THIS BEFORE READING. Lvl 8/10-14 Class Training Quests (Great quests to introduce you to the class and easy experience). Introduction Intro Statement(s) To start this guide off, I guess I should say that this is my first guide. I used many other 'already made' guides are made this! Since this guide is in the Beta stages, the guide isn't fully complete. Also, it would also be helpful to help me out with this guide. Remember, this is a guide about being a Gunslinger, not a Brawler.
Once it starts slowing down to a level every one or two hours, try getting a specific amount of EXP on the days you grind. Ignore the EXP bar.It may sound stupid and hard, but man does it work wonders for me and for some of my friends.
If you want to learn how to ignore the EXP bar. Distract yourself from grinding. There is a thing called media (music, tv, skype, podcasts). Use it to your advantage. I know once I start listening to some music while grinding, I get in the zone and can't keep up with the time. If for some reason you are emotionless and hate music, talking to your guild/buddies is another good way to forget you're actually training. If you are a Mage, hold a button with your finger while watching a movie or a show. If you don't want to do any of these, try partying with others and grinding.
You could even make a friend while doing so. Try not to leech. This is the part that kills most players.
When you leech, you're slowly killing your drive to actually train. When you see a high-leveled leecher, do you see him/her actually trying? Or do you see them begging any Mage/BF leech to give them what they want?
Spoilers, it's the latter. Trust me, I've learned this countless times from myself and others. So do yourself a favor and try leveling!. Set goals. This is very important not only in the real world, but in MMOs as well. If you're originally from the forums, look at all the popular high leveled people. As you can tell, they all have one thing in common; goals in their signatures Those goals could either be getting to a specific attack range, level, gear, HP washing, etc.
Once you set your goal and focus on it, you'll be in no time. Yes, ppl2pass is a thing. FAQbecause people ask questions!Question: How much does Headless Horseman hit?Answer: 2800 3200 damage.Question: Is there any way to find out the spawn rate for bosses?Answer:Question: Temple of Time takes way too long! The quests are nearly impossible. What do I do?Answer: Duo with a buddy. No one should ever solo Temple of Time due to the size of all maps located in ToT.
They're far too big, even for a Arch Mage/Bishop.Question: I can't afford anything while training. What do I do?Answer: Pick up the things the monsters drop.
This includes equips, etc, use items, and scrolls. Voting while grinding is a great way to make money, as well. People buy plenty of AP Resets and Gachapon items.
Even Boars give you 5m+ with a full inventory. There's no excuse for being dead broke. Don't believe me? Check this out.Question: Where can I find all these monsters? I can't seem to find them anywhere.Answer:Question: How do I do LMPQ?Answer: Haven't done LMPQ in so long, but a friend of mine said this was legit.Question: Why Voodoos for both types of combat?
It's only good for ranged players.Answer: Voodoos are an amazing source of money for a beginner. I went there with my Ranger, Brawler and Hermit with little to no funds and have made over 300m on each character just from selling equipment and Heartstoppers.
The mob rate is lower than FoG, sure, but you'll be making more money. It's also not crowded, so there's less stress. I also found Voodoos much laid back after level 70 on my Brawler. So tl;dr: want money, go to Voodoos. For EXP, FoG then Voodoos later. That is my view on this part of grinding.Question: I can't do Headless Horseman, he keeps killing me in one hit! What do I do?Answer: You either HP wash, don't fight him at all, or attack and evade.
HP washing would be ideal if you are planning to make a character who wants to boss endgame. I found attack and evading only useful for Thief-types; Chief Bandit can Meso Explode + hide while Hermit can stunlock him very easily thanks to Lucky Seven's formula.
For Bowmen, not so much. Sorta, but I would test it out first since I only did HH with a Corsair less than 3 times and maybe once on Buccaneer.Question: Why does it say 'solo til ?'
Answer: You won't be able to get full EXP from your party member's mobs until that specific level. If you want to know how to find out when to leech, just look them up on BBB Hidden-Street and subtract their levels by 5. For example, Slimy is level 63. 63 - 5 is 58. You must be 58 in order to get the full party EXP.Question: These potions are useless. Where are some good pots?Answer: New Leaf City has the best healing potions.
Buy what works best for you.Question: I don't do enough damage to stunlock Headless Horseman. Why is that?Answer: Maybe you are too low of a level and should get to 85 before trying him out. I only say 75 in the guide for the funded, really.
If you have went to Voodoos from 51 75, then good for you. Use all those Heartstoppers (or buy red ciders) and try to stunlock him. If you still can't, level up somewhere else. It's not worth fighting HH if you can't stunlock him at least once, as you're wasting tons of time and money. Trust me, I've learned from this mistake and wasted over 30 minutes trying to kill the guy without being hit just for 30% at 80.Question: I'm maxing Strafe/Shadow Partner first, but HH is never around now!
What do I do?!Answer: Refer to Jr. Newties part for Ranged. Or fight Squids and keep yourself in a safe distance.Question: Why even bother with Forest of Golem or Voodoos? I get much better EXP at Ghost Ship 2.Answer: In my opinion, GS2 is awfully boring. It's always full of people and you're bound to get KS'd there. Go ahead, check the reports.
70% of them is from GS2. So, for me, Voodoos and FoG gives the player more benefits. Not only do both give great EXP, but the two also give a pretty good amount of money (as mentioned before).
FoG gives GFA 60%, while Voodoos have Heartstoppers. GS2 has Wand 60%s, which sell for less than 500k.
And no one ever buys them.Question: So why did you mention Jr. Newties at such a low level? Won't I get one-shot?Answer: There's a small tactic called sniping, where you hit an enemy from far away and the enemy doesn't attack you. There is a video that demonstrates how to do it. 'Sensitive people are the most genuine and honest people you will ever meet. There is nothing they won’t tell you about themselves if they trust your kindness. However, the moment you betray them, reject them or devalue them, they become the worse type of person.Unfortunately, they end up hurting themselves in the long run. They don’t want to hurt other people. It is against their very nature.
They want to make amends and undo the wrong they did.Their life is a wave of highs and lows. They live with guilt and constant pain over unresolved situations and misunderstandings. They are tortured souls that are not able to live with hatred or being hated. This type of person needs the most love anyone can give them because their soul has been constantly bruised by others. However, despite the tragedy of what they have to go through in life, they remain the most compassionate people worth knowing, and the ones that often become activists for the broken hearted, forgotten and the misunderstood. They are angels with broken wings that only fly when loved.― Shannon L.

Contents.AP and Equipment DEX has a limited role in determining accuracy, but level has a far greater effect. Most equipment doesn't have a DEX requirement either, the only exception being the Stonetooth/Ribgol Sword. Warriors should apply ALL AP on STR and NO DEX unless you are sure you need it, and then keep it to a minimum. Never put any AP on INT or LUK.SP Beginner Considering Recovery only heals about 2HP/second when fully leveled, most people will not select this. Level 2: +1 Three Snails (1). Level 3: +1 Three Snails (2). Level 4: +1 Three Snails (3).
Level 5: +1 Nimble Feet (1). Level 6: +1 Nimble Feet (2). Level 7: +1 Nimble Feet (3)First Job (Level 10 to 30) To max all skills, it would require 70 SP, but you are given only 61 SP to spend. You will need to choose which skill not to max. You must also decide which active skill to max first, Slash Blast or Power Strike. This is dependent on where you train. If it's easy to hit many enemies together, go with Slash Blast; otherwise, take them on one by one with Power Strike.
In the end, only one attack skill should be maxed, unless you are making a Spearman as they will both be replaced at level 30. Early Fire Charge Combat orders adds 2 to all other skills, so only need to take most other skills to 18, as they can't be boosted beyond 20. There are also many monsters weak to Fire, so it is maxed first, though it can be switched with Ice based on training locations. Thunder is maxed next since it can be stacked with Fire or Ice for more damage. 18 Fire Charge (18). 30 Charged Blow (MAX).
18 Thunder Charge (18). 18 Ice Charge (18). 5 Restoration (5). 20 Combat Orders (MAX). 4 Restoration (9). 20 Shield Mastery (MAX). 18 Magic Crash (18).
Fourth Job (Level 120 to 200) Hero Paladin Dark Knight Alternative builds The Pure HP Build This build is not recommended for those just starting the game. That said, it is a viable build for advanced players with money to burn and plenty of spare time. The general premise is to add all AP into HP and get a huge bonus from the HP Increase skill. The advantages of this are that you can go to areas with extremely tough monsters, and not be killed thanks to how long it takes them to kill you.
This is probably the build that will let you kill powerful monsters the soonest; however it is not cheap to do, nor easy. It is just possible earlier. So you want to do this? There are some things you need to have. First, you need lots of money. Without money, training is incredibly slow, and even once you've got it to a higher level, you won't be able to afford pots. Second, if you want to get any use out of the character, you need at least one friend who is a Cleric.
They will probably be more than happy to help heal you, since they get exp based on how much they heal, and you will have a lot of HP to heal. Third, if you want to do this quickly, you will need someone who can enter a party with you and train you.Once you have these, you are ready to begin. On each level up, put all your AP in HP.
Apart from HP Increase, the SP usage is not very important since most of the 1st job skills are pretty much useless. If you want to try fighting for yourself, you will be weak, but you can get the damage increase skills first. The Exchange Quest remains a reasonable way to gain experience early on, or you can do party quests, which is a much better way to get experience. At level 20, it costs approximately 100,000 mesos to level up using the if you trade Solid Horns, which can generally be purchased for 50 mesos. So if you're poor, this may not be the best thing any more.
The reason for the variance in price is that the prizes you get have different values - some are worth almost as much as the money the items cost, some are worth less than half. As for the Party Quest, you won't do any killing, but if you can find a willing party then go for it!Level 30 is the next interesting point. You've got here in whatever way, probably costing vast amounts of mesos, or taking a ridiculously long time, but you've done it.
Now, all that's left before you and your ultimate success is the 2nd job advance test. You will need accuracy and damage enhancing items to complete this. You will be able to hit the boars approximately 90% of the times, that's not so bad as they are a few levels higher than you. Just bring some warrior elixirs (from NLC) to increase your dmg (it may still be painfully low, probably around 300 per power strike). The advancement will probably take you several minutes, but it is completable.Once you have done that, Congratulations!
You will now be getting the most useful skill to you: Power Guard. Power Guard is available to both Fighters and Pages, but Fighters are generally considered the better choice thanks to gaining several hundred HP when they choose their 2nd Job. Either way, Power Guard does the same thing - returns some of the damage monsters deal to you by running into you (bump damage) to the monsters. The reason it is so nice is because of how it works - it returns a percentage of the total damage done to you.
Thus, the stronger the monster's attack, the more damage it will do to itself if you run into it. This damage ignores accuracy, so if the monster hits you, you hit it back, unless it hits you for 1 damage.
In that case, you would not be doing any damage at all, so it records a 'MISS'. As you can see, with a massive amount of HP, this means you can take on some of the strongest monsters in the game, and as long as you have a Cleric along or a bunch of pots, there's no risk of you even dying. Heck, if you feel bold, party a Cleric and go kill Crimson Balrog.
